The farms address is Gelli Farm Machen Caerphilly Cf83 8JE however for some reason this postcode does not like ’sat nav’, we have tried changing the postcode but its no use… it still takes you to the wrong place,…. a different wrong place…. but still the wrong place! If you want to use Sat Nav we suggest putting the village of Machen into the machine and then following the directions below to direct you to the parlour which is on the main road leading into Machen if you are coming from Caerphilly and out of Machen if you are coming from Newport.
The farm is on the A468 between Trethomas and Machen. If you are coming from Newport, Basaleg, Dreathen or lower Machen then get onto the A468 (that’s junction28 off the M4 or get to the big Tredegar house round about and follow signs for Basaleg) as you come into the village of Machen you will see the Fwrm Ishta pub on your left the farm is exactly one mile from there carry on up the hill out of the village and you will see the signs on the left hand side.
If you are coming from Cardiff then go to Caerphilly either over the mountain or down the A470 and then follow the signs for Newport. Stay on the road for approximately three miles, passing through the villages of Bedwas and then Trethomas. After passing the BP garage travel for a further half mile and you will see a sign for Waterloo (do not take that road!) we are the next turning on the right after that, look out for the sign.

Bus
Buses running between Newport and Caerphilly pass by Machen. You will need to get off the bus at ‘the round tree’, which is the stop for the Waterloo village. The farm is a five minute walk along the main road from the bus stop (towards Machen).
