It is impervious to oils and dust, and is polished to a high luster. A process of turning to exact sizes and polishing through grits ups to 12,000 obtains the polished result that is so popular. Each piece is slightly different to make it a singularly unique item. These Seam Rippers use a double O-ring on each reversible piece, these do not scratch the polished surface like internal compression springs and hold more securely.
